General Information
The 77th Geneva International Motor Show will open to the public on March 8 with vehicles on display from 250 exhibitors spanning more than 77,000 square metres. Taking place at Geneva's Palexpo, this annual motor show is one of five major auto shows worldwide - the others taking place in Detroit, Paris, Frankfurt and Tokyo.
Following two media-only preview days on which more than 5,000 journalists from all over the world will attend, the show will be opened on Thursday March 8 in the presence of, notably, Mrs. Micheline Calmy-Rey, President of the Swiss Confederation.
Around 700,000 visitors are expected to come to the Geneva show from five continents – generally 40% of attendees are foreigners from 80 countries – during the 11 days that the Show is open to the public.
Over 80 world and European premieres are expected, with noteworthy debuts coming from brands like Maserati, Lamborghini, Dodge, Audi, BMW and more. In addition to these established brands, a number of new exhibitors will feature vehicles including China’s Brilliance, KTM and Russo-Baltic.
