GranSport is an uprated version of Maserati’s Coupe and, with the whole range due for an upgrade soon, Maserati seemed to be hinting that this would be the last update to the current model.
The Coupe and GranSport range are elegant, characterful and attractive cars, though considerations of practicality and cost have restricted sales to pure enthusiasts.
Highlighting the boutique carmaker’s proud heritage as well as the GranSport’s sporting aspirations, the Contemporary Classic has hints of its historic forebears. Features include vintage pale-blue instruments, full leather interior with contrast colour piping, leather steering wheel, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
There’s a choice of four paint and interior colour combinations, and the car will be on sale from October.
Also on show was Maserati’s arresting Quattroporte saloon, the executive conveyance for those with a particularly Italian sense of style.
